I wish I’d spent a third hour at the Vasa Museum instead.”

Unfortunately both of us have some slight hearing difficulties and that, coupled with his strong accent made it very challenging to understand much of what he shared. I did ask him to repeat a few times and he did immediately but I really didn’t want to do that all day long. We still had a fascinating day and learned a lot, but we did not get the full story as many details were simply…”

He was fantastic, explaining everything from history, to plants at the Botanical Gardens and the scientic accompishments of famous people from Uppsala.. He was personable, friendly and knowledgeable. I liked the fact that we travelled by local train and bus or walked around town. I was surprised that the film director Ingrid Bergman came from Uppsala. Best of all I enjoyed our visit to the old Viking village, the church and Viking burial mounds. All in all a fantastic day. We had great weather and really interesting conversation.
